10 Ways to Move On

People say that you cannot tell others how things feel like when you haven’t been in that situation. Well, well, well.. experience is one of the best teachers I should say! And here I’m gonna tell you 10 things that will help you to move on after a painful break-up.

1st        Admire someone who is very opposite to him.
(Don’t you dare liking someone who’s very like him! I guess you know why.)

2nd       Quit proving to him that you’re still pretty and awesome!
(Oh, come on! You should be doing that to other guys!)

3rd       When he texted you, don’t be excited in making conversation with him.
(Whew! You guys are over, stop flirting with him!)

4th       Stop any communication with him—as in any!
(Others said that this is an act of bitterness, but no, it helps.)

5th       Stop looking at his Facebook profile, even following him on twitter.
            (What? You’re a stalker now?!)

6th       Don’t doodle his name.
(It won’t do you any good.)

7th       Stop looking back, create new memories with your family, friends, even with the guys you flirt.
(It will help you to avoid reminiscing the painful ones.)

8th       Study hard! Work harder!
(The more busy you are, the lesser the chance for you to think about him.)

9th       Avoid listening to love songs.
(It deepens the cut of you heart.)

10th     Always remember that you are God’s daughter and He had better plans for you!

The Cheapest Way to Travel

Can you believe that I’ve been to New York? Last month I’ve been to Amsterdam, the month before I’m in Rio de Janeiro. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not rich, I don't even have a relative to visit in other countries. I’ve been in those places because of reading.

People said that reading is the cheapest way to travel around the world. I can say that it is true! I’ve been in so many places because I love to read, that’s the only thing I want to do when I have spare time. I’ve read almost 100 novels, I read my first novel when I was in 3rd year  high school entitled The Other Side of Midnight  by Sidney Sheldon. I don’t have any novel books in our house except for the three books of Sidney Sheldon I owned, I borrowed books in our school library, good thing our school was an adopted school of De La Salle University at that time and they donated so many books in our library.

Many people find reading as a boring activity , but I’m thankful that this boring activity becomes my hobby. Later in my life, when I get the chance, I will be in those places in person. Good thing I already know a lot about places I read, so it won’t be hard for me to think about the beautiful places in the world, it’s like the memories I read on books becomes my own experiences that when I get there I will always remember. They’re already on my mind waiting for me to come.

Let's Twist Your Tongues!

I love my name this much :)

"Jocelyn joined the jumper at the Jacuzzi last January just to have a jolly juicer."

Done reading?.. Then read it again and faster!

The Journey

I wrote this poem when I'm about to enter college in
Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
I wrote this to express my impression in college life,
but when I transferred in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina,
things were very different. :)

The Journey

The journey is about to start,
In this world that no one can be trusted.
Everyone is my opponent,
Pretenders that I can never lean on.
I should fight for my survival,
I should feed on my own.
Learn to protect myself to reach my star,
Learn to step others like an old friar.
This journey will take me into a place that awaits me,
A place that I don’t know what’ll be.
Whether riches in gold or bounty sufferings.
The journey is about to start.

A Letter to My Love

Things would never be easy for us, especially when we give ourselves the chance to dig the reality of this world that love hurts; it hurts so bad that can turn someone into madness. It can break anyone’s heart – no exemption. What makes us hold for each other is still the same thing – love. Yeah, it’s queer! Because it can build and destroy at the same time. Love binds us together, and it would be our choice to be parted with each other by choosing anger, jealousy, pride and lies, rather than kindness, patience and faithfulness.

Though it will hurt me, I’m sure you will, I still choose to be with you. I want to be with you! Because I know it will make me happy, you can make me happy, and that happens. :)

Read to Learn

The choice of books we read reflects our own personal principles and tenets. Once we choose something to read, it’s like filling or feeding the hunger we had inside our consciousness. I’ve already read a lot of books, novels usually, because my favorite type of literary is fiction. I salute those authors who can think, not just outside-the-box, but beyond the thinking of an ordinary person who knows that the earth is spherical in shape, there are 365.25 days in a year and 8,766 hours, and so on…
But this author whom I love because of her amazing works was born in England, just an ordinary person with extraordinary ability in writing – J.K. Rowling, the famous author of the best-selling book, Harry Potter.
Harry Potter is a fantasy series of wizarding world. Harry, a boy who survived a very powerful curse, that no one ever does, lived in his Aunt in muggle world and at the age of 11 he was been admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and there starts his journey. He wasn’t that smart in school, but his heart was full of kindness to help others. He acquired his selflessness to his parents who sacrificed their lives to protect him from Voldemort.
Voldemort was after Harry because he survived his curse, one of the most powerful wizard. But at the end Voldemort failed and he loss. Though Harry wasn’t powerful in spells, he is powerful in terms of love and kindness, that what makes him a greater wizard than Voldemort.
